Honouring the Past, Healing the Present, Empowering the Future
The Residential School Day Scholars Class Action Settlement is for Day Scholars who attended an Indian Residential School but did not sleep there at night between the years of 1920-1997 (depending on the school).

Supporting day scholar survivors & their descendants
The Day Scholars Revitalization Society (DSRS) is an Indigenous-led organization founded in 2021, dedicated to supporting Indian Residential School Day Scholar Survivors and their first-generation Descendants. Day Scholars Survivors were forced to attend Indian Residential Schools during the day but returned home at night, while their first-generation Descendants are individuals who have parent-child relationships with Survivors. Rooted in healing and revitalization, DSRS strives to empower the protection and revitalization of Indigenous languages, cultures, and heritage.
